There is no MOD here and nothing to unlock, it is just a player pointed at a library of anime.

What it is not is an official service from any studio or distributor. AnimLovers is a fan-built aggregator: it pulls together anime that other people host, and the developer has no deal with the rights holders. That is the honest label for it, and it matters for what comes next.

Important: legality and status

Two facts you should know before installing. First, the app was pulled from Google Play, it went unpublished on 10 November 2021, so any "Get it on Google Play" wording you see elsewhere is out of date. You can only get it as a sideloaded APK now. Second, the anime is hosted without a license from the copyright owners, which puts this app in the same class as other unofficial streaming tools.

That brings a few real risks. Unlicensed streaming can carry legal exposure depending on where you live.
