DMCA

All trademarks, registered trademarks, product names, company names and logos appearing on APK Store are the property of their respective owners. APK Store respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that meet the requirements of the DMCA and other applicable laws. This page explains our policy and how to send us a notice or a counter-notification.

Our approach

We do not host pirated files on our own servers — download links on this site point to original sources or trusted third-party mirrors. We act as an intermediary providing descriptions and links, and we take copyright seriously. When we receive a valid notice of infringement, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material claimed to be infringing, and we will make a good-faith effort to notify the person or party who provided that material so that they may submit a counter-notification if they believe the removal was a mistake.

Please note that under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Before sending a notice or counter-notice, you may wish to consult a lawyer to understand your rights and obligations under the DMCA (in particular section 512) and other applicable laws. The requirements set out below are intended to help us comply with our obligations and do not constitute legal advice.

Filing a copyright infringement notice

If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and you believe that material on our site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated contact at [email protected]. To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:

  • a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf;
  • identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed (or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works);
  • identification of the material that you claim is infringing and that you want removed or disabled, including the exact URL(s) where it appears on our site, with enough detail for us to locate it;
  • your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay our ability to act. Once we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable the identified material expeditiously.

Filing a counter-notification

If your material was removed or disabled and you believe in good faith that this was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to the same address. To be effective, your counter-notification must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before it was removed;
  • a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice or their agent.

After we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material in accordance with the DMCA, unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

Repeat infringers

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to remove or disable access to material and to restrict, suspend or block access for users who are found to be repeat infringers.
