Back around 2010 this was one of the first genuinely good-looking 3D racers on a phone: tilt-to-steer controls and tracks through temples, tropics and snowy mountains. What is Raging Thunder 2?

Raging Thunder 2 is an arcade racing game built for touchscreen phones of its era. You race through courses set all over the world, ancient temples, jungle roads, desert stretches and snow-covered passes, either in the career mode or in a quick single race. Steering is your choice: tilt the phone with the accelerometer, or use on-screen buttons if you'd rather.

It also had Wi-Fi multiplayer, a big deal for a mobile game at the time. For a lot of players this was one of the first mobile racers that looked and felt like a console arcade game, which is why people still search for it years after it disappeared.

Why Raging Thunder 2 is not on Google Play

Polarbit stopped supporting the game and the Google Play listing was taken down. There is no official store link anymore, if you search the Play Store for it, you land on unrelated results, not the game. That is why an APK is the only route left.

The copy on this page is the final release, v1.0.17. No newer version exists, so this is as complete and up to date as Raging Thunder 2 ever got. One honest note while we are here: there is no Raging Thunder 3. The series ended with this game, so don't go looking for a sequel that was never made.

Here is the honest picture. The old online multiplayer relied on servers that have been gone for years, so online play is dead. There is no way to bring it back. If you remember racing strangers online, that part of the game is history.

The local Wi-Fi multiplayer between two devices on the same network may still work, since it doesn't depend on Polarbit's servers, but it needs two phones running the game. Treat it as a maybe, not a guarantee. The career and quick-race modes are the reason to download this. Those are fully intact and play offline.

Original or a mod?

This file is the plain original game, the final v1.0.17 build, no coin hack, no unlocks, no cheats added.
