When an animatronic wanders into your office, you pull the mask on to fool it. When something is lurking in the hallway, a quick flash of the light checks the coast.

The camera feed shows you where each character is roaming. The music box over on the Prize Corner needs regular winding, and if it runs down, the Puppet comes for you fast. You also watch the vents, since the newer models crawl through them straight into the room. Each night gets harder as more animatronics turn active and the timing gets tighter. It is a game of split attention, and one wrong pause ends the shift.

What's new vs FNAF 1

This is the second game, and it plays quite differently from the first. If you have only played the original, here is what changed.

Short version: it is faster and less forgiving. If you want to start from the beginning of the story, grab Five Nights at Freddy's 1 first, then come back for the sequel.

Paid game honesty (demo vs full)

Let's be straight about this. On Google Play the full game sells for around $2.99, and the free version you find there is a demo that stops after Night 1. The APK here is the complete offline release with every night open, which is why the card is marked Unlocked. That label is honest for a game like this: it runs single-player and offline, there is no server and no online score to check, so nothing here can get your account banned. If you would rather pay the developer, the Google Play listing is the official route. This page is just the faster one.

• Put the Freddy mask on the second an animatronic shows up in the office. Hold it until they leave.
• Keep an eye on the vents and the hallway light. Toy Bonnie and Mangle love the blind spots.
• Learn the camera route by night three. Knowing where each character usually roams saves you seconds you cannot spare.
