In plain terms: if you are in the US, Europe, India or most other regions, you cannot log in without a CN or SEA account. The APK will install, but the game stops at the server connection. Contra Returns vs Contra: Evolution

People land on this page from two different searches, so let's split them cleanly. Contra: Evolution is KONAMI's 2013 offline port of the arcade classic, package cn.konami.contraevo.gp. It runs on your device with no server, which is exactly why an "Unlimited Money" mod can work on that one. Contra Returns is the newer 2021 online game, package com.proximabeta.game.contra, and it needs a live server.

So if you typed "contra evolution" expecting the old offline platformer, that is a separate title with a separate file. This page covers Returns, the online one.

Why a MOD doesn't help here

Short version: it can't. Contra Returns keeps your money, heroes and upgrades on its servers and checks them online every session. A mod can only change numbers on your own screen, and the server ignores those numbers, so nothing you "buy" sticks. On the closed global servers there is nothing to connect to at all.

On the CN and SEA servers that are still live, running a modified build is a fast way to get your account flagged or banned. There is no working money mod here, and we won't pretend otherwise. If you play on those regions, use a clean install and keep your account safe.

How to install the APK
