What is The Wolf Among Us?

The Wolf Among Us is a five-episode noir detective adventure by Telltale Games, based on the Fables comics (DC/Vertigo): you play Bigby Wolf, the reformed Big Bad Wolf, now sheriff of Fabletown, a hidden community of fairy-tale characters living among ordinary people in 1986 New York. When a woman is found murdered, the case lands on you.

This is a story game first. You question witnesses like Mr. Toad, decide whether Bigby acts like a cop or like the beast everyone remembers, and the fights are short quick-time events. Choices carry over between episodes and change how people treat you. The game is a prequel to the comics, so you don’t need to have read them. One honest warning: it is rated 18+ for violence and strong language.

What the MOD unlocks

The MOD ships the full first season: all five episodes are unlocked from the start, with no in-app purchases. In the official version only the first episode is free; here the whole season is already open, checked by our editors against the actual file.

To keep expectations straight: this MOD unlocks episodes and nothing else. There are no coins or cheats to add. It is a story game, and the story is what you are downloading.

Will it run on your phone?

The game has not been updated since May 2018, so on Android 12 and newer you may hit graphic glitches, most of them are fixable. The final release was built for phones of that era, and modern Android handles graphics and touch input differently. Better to check this list before downloading than after.

The common failures and what actually helps:

• Black screen or black character models. The OBB unpacked incorrectly or the phone ran out of storage mid-install. Delete the game’s OBB folder, copy the file again and keep about 3 GB free while it unpacks.
• Touch input feels shifted. A scaling quirk on newer Android. Switch the game to fullscreen mode in your phone’s app settings and restart the episode.
• Game won’t start at all. Most often the OBB sits in the wrong folder. The path must be exactly Android/obb/com.telltalegames.fables100, nothing else.

We won’t promise it runs on every device. It is a 2018 build. It ran on the phones our editors tested, and the fixes above cover the most common failures from user reports.

How to download The Wolf Among Us MOD APK (APK + OBB)

Episodes and story tips

Each episode runs about two hours, so the full season is roughly a ten-hour story. A few things worth knowing before you start (no spoilers):

• When the game says a character will remember that, it means it: dialogue and whole scenes play out differently in later episodes.
• Silence is also a choice. Letting the reply timer run out is sometimes the strongest answer Bigby can give.
• Don’t chase the right playthrough on the first run, commit to your choices and see where they lead. That is the point of the game.
• Finished chapters can be replayed from the episode menu, so you can test the other path without starting the season over.

MOD vs Google Play version

The official version is alive on Google Play (4.3★ from over 240,000 reviews): episode 1 is free, episodes 2–5 are paid in-app purchases, and the build is the same 2018 release, so it shares the compatibility quirks described above. If you want to support the developer and buy episodes one by one, the official route works. If you’d rather have the whole season in one download and play it fully offline, the MOD is for you, the game has no account, no online features and nothing to get banned from.
