Here is the honest version, because it matters. The features that live on your device, the watermark, the filters, the export options, the ads, are the ones a MOD can switch on, and they work offline once installed. Anything that runs through Shotcut's own service is a different story. Cloud tools, some AI features and the license check can be verified on the service side, so a MOD cannot promise those forever.

There is also the update problem. When the app updates, a patched build can lose its Premium unlock, and you may need a fresh MOD version to get it back. So treat the unlock as working now, not as a permanent subscription. We keep the file on this page current and re-test it after each release.
