ToonApp MOD APK is the Pro build of Lyrebird Studio's AI cartoon photo editor, with the watermark and ads gone and the premium style menu open from the first launch. Our editors scanned this file for malware and installed it on a real Android device before publishing, the check we have run since 2018. One honest note up front: ToonApp draws its cartoon styles on Lyrebird's servers, so the MOD opens the paid features on your phone, it does not run the AI for you free. More on that below.

What is ToonApp?

ToonApp (full name ToonApp: Cartoon Photo Editor) is a photo app by Lyrebird Studio that turns a selfie or any picture into a cartoon portrait. You pick a style, caricature, comic, sketch or a painterly Ghibli-type look, and the app redraws your face in that art style.

It also has a background remover for swapping or blurring what is behind you, real-time camera filters, and a set of stickers. The free app puts a watermark on exports, shows ads, and keeps the best styles and HD saving behind a Pro subscription.

What the ToonApp MOD gives you

These are client-side Pro features, the ones the app gates on your own device. They open reliably. The next section is about the part that does not live on your phone.

AI styles and the server side

Here is the honest line most MOD pages skip. ToonApp does the heavy cartoon rendering on Lyrebird's servers, not on your phone. When you tap a style, the photo goes up, the AI redraws it, and the result comes back.

A client-side Pro state removes the watermark, the ads and the paywall menu, but it cannot stand in for that server. If Lyrebird checks your subscription server-side for a given AI style, that style may still refuse to render even with the MOD installed. The features that sit on the phone, local filters, stickers and basic edits, are the ones that open most reliably. Treat the server AI styles as a maybe, not a promise.

How to download and install the ToonApp MOD APK

1. Tap the green Download APK button at the top of this page. The file is about 46 MB and downloads directly, no registration or SMS.
2. In Android settings, allow installs from unknown sources for your browser or file manager (Settings, Security).
3. If the Play Store version of ToonApp is already on the phone, remove it first. The MOD has a different signature and will not install over it.
4. Open the file, tap Install, then launch the app. It needs Android 6.0 or newer.

Tips for better cartoons

• Start from a sharp, well-lit photo with the face clear and facing the camera. The AI has more to work with.
• Try several styles on the same photo. The same face can look great in comic and flat in sketch.
• Use the background remover to drop a busy background before you apply a style.
• Save in HD once you are happy, so the export holds up when you share or print it.

MOD or original?

ToonApp is free to install from Google Play, with Pro sold as a subscription, that is the way to support Lyrebird if you use the app a lot. The MOD is for trying the Pro tools and clean, ad-free exports without paying, with the server caveat above kept in mind.
