School Days is an offline school-life sandbox from MDickie, the developer of Wrestling Revolution, Hard Time and Old School. You build a student, pick a gender, a look, clothes, starting grades and social skills, then you are dropped into a school of roughly 100 other characters and left to figure it out. There is a popularity system, and the world reacts to what you do. It has racked up around 26 million downloads.

The style is pure MDickie, rough, a little ugly, and full of physics that go sideways in the best way. Quick heads up: this is not the anime visual novel called "School Days". Gameplay

Day to day, you create your character and then live the school routine your way. Go to lessons and pass them, or skip and deal with the fallout. You can talk to teachers and the other students, build a reputation, or start trouble. The controls are the classic MDickie setup: a joystick on the left, and buttons on the right for striking, grabbing and picking things up.

That last part matters, because half the fun is the objects. Grab a broom, a fire extinguisher, or a piece of furniture and swing it. Fights play out with the same engine as Wrestling Revolution, so the brawls feel physical and messy. Everything you do feeds back into how the world treats you, popularity, grades and grudges all stack up over a playthrough.

One honest note, and it is a simple one. School Days is a single-player offline game, so all of this is local to your device.
