XY VPN MOD APK is the free proxy-VPN from MATRIX MOBILE PTE. LTD. with the "Premium" mod applied: no ads and access to the premium server list, tested by our editors on real Android devices before it went live. One thing to know up front: in Google Play the same app (package com.mate.vpn) is now called MATE VPN, so XY VPN and MATE VPN are the same tool under two names. The mod changes the client, it does not change how the servers behave, and we explain exactly what that means below.

What is XY VPN?

XY VPN is a free one-tap VPN: you open it, pick a country, and it builds an encrypted tunnel between your phone and a server run by the provider. There is no sign-up and no account. You can also choose which apps go through the tunnel and which stay on your normal connection, which is handy if you only want one or two apps routed abroad. Servers sit in many countries, and the interface stays simple: connect, switch location, disconnect.

Security and privacy, honestly

The real features are straightforward: AES-128 encryption, IPsec and OpenVPN (UDP and TCP) protocols, and an automatic kill-switch that cuts traffic if the tunnel drops. Those are solid basics for a free app.

Now the honest part. This is not military-grade security and it does not make you fully anonymous. A free VPN has to pay for its servers somehow, and some free providers log or sell traffic data, so read the privacy policy before you route everything through it. A mod is also a repackaged build, not the original file signed by the developer, and a VPN sees all of your traffic, so treat it as a convenience tool for casual use. For banking, work, or anything where a leak would hurt, a paid audited VPN is the safer call.

What the "Premium" mod actually does

Client vs server: why we don't promise "unlimited"

A mod can strip the ads and hide the VIP buttons, because those are baked into the app on your device. It cannot change what happens on the provider's servers. Connection limits, real speed, and whether a given premium server is even online are all decided on the server side, not by the mod. That is why we won't call this "unlimited" or guarantee any speed: some premium servers may be slow or simply not respond, and no APK can fix that from your side.

How to download and install XY VPN MOD APK

• The service is not offered in Russia or China, so it won't connect from there.
