What is Grow Empire: Rome?

Grow Empire: Rome is a tower-defense game with RPG elements from Games Station Studio. You lead Caesar's forces, defend your citadel against waves of enemies, and march out to conquer cities across Europe. The scale is large: 155 cities to take, around 1,500 waves, 35 troop types, 7 heroes with their own skills, and more than 1,000 upgrades for your towers, walls, archers and catapults. On top of that sits a card system, where effect cards drop from chests, you carry up to three into a battle, and matching cards merge into stronger ones.

Offline campaign vs PvP

The single-player campaign and sieges play offline, and the mod currency works fully there. Grow Empire: Rome also has a PvP mode with a ranking that runs on the developer's servers. In that mode results are checked server-side, so we do not promise any advantage or protection through the mod. If ranked PvP is your focus, the original game is the cleaner choice; the mod is for building through the campaign without the grind.

How to download and install

Tips: defense, troops, heroes and cards

• Balance your tower, archer and catapult upgrades to match the wave types you face, rather than pouring everything into one.
• Send troops out of the gate at the right moment to meet a wave before it reaches your walls.
• Bring a hero into the harder waves and use their skill when the pressure peaks.
• Collect effect cards and merge duplicates; a strong card can turn a losing siege.
• Level one troop branch to open the next, and keep your defenses ahead of the incoming difficulty.

For ranked PvP and to support the developer, the original game (free with in-app purchases on Google Play) is the safer pick, since there is no risk to your standing.
