The description of LIMBO
The monochrome world can be extremely beautiful even if it is full of unknown monsters and filled with a variety of complex logical riddles. All this is confirmed by the fantastic LIMBO – perhaps the most unusual and the most beautiful game you’ve ever seen.
Black and white fairy tale
LIMBO is a mysticism, adventure, style, and atmosphere in one bottle. Unusual and extremely curious platformer managed to win not only the love of players around the world but also a lot of awards in the field of game construction. The plot revolves around a little boy who regained consciousness in the middle of a dark forest. From this point and the adventure begins.
All the player sees on the screen is a black-and-white forest with stingy rays of sunlight, breaking through the dark giant trees. The goal is to get out of the forest and find the missing sister of the main character. But for this purpose, it is necessary to pass through a set of traps, to run away from hordes of monsters and to guess a heap of every possible logic riddles (it is necessary to tell, they here are really uneasy).
What’s hard to argue about is that the game has an incredible atmosphere. It literally sucks you into its own world. LIMBO sticks to the gloomy, accurately traced by talented artists’ visual style. People working on music deserve a special mention – it is calm, tractor-happy, and it is no less beautiful. The abundance of sounds accompanying the character throughout history is impressive. From the rustle of leaves to the squeak of old trees – all together sounds merely inexpressible.
Even though the game is quite realistic to pass entirely in a couple of hours, to call it does not turn the language. Why? Because plenty of difficult puzzles can detain you at the display for long hours of the strengthened solving of riddles of world LIMBO. Somebody is scared away, but we confidently declare – the farther you move along the storyline, the more interesting and lively the game becomes.
LIMBO is just the case when the game is good on all fronts at the same time. It will allow you to move your brains well, stretching your mind, and enjoy the beauty of the picture. The story about a boy wandering through the black and white forest is an excellent example of the fact that one should not be afraid of unusuality. The toy is very unusual, but it is this (along with the talented implementation of the original idea also) that has helped the project to occupy an honorable place among the most popular games for the past few years.
